The challenge
Undergraduate teaching laboratories take punishment that research labs never see: hundreds of students a week, changing experiments, and a hard deadline — semester start does not move.
The build
Working inside the semester break window, Lab ID stripped and re-benched the laboratories with fixed-spine student benches on the service runs and mobile benches where layouts change between courses. Storage was rebuilt to the same system so the rooms read as one specification.
Certified outcome
The laboratories re-opened on schedule for semester start. Benching, worktops and services were specified for teaching-lab loading — the layout the faculty planned is the layout students actually work on.
